Tracey Walker is one of those special people inside Empower Network. She has emerged as a leader along with the likes of people like Lawrence Tam, Justin Verrengia, Tony Rush, and others. Tracey grew up in the urban area of Chicago. She eventually went to college in Florida, earned an MBA from Florida A&M University, and ended up making Atlanta, Georgia her home. She worked as an energy trader and was happy to finally be laid off from that. She used her severance pay to get started in real estate and made a successful career for awhile, negotiating short sales. As is usual for high earners in their twenties, she spent money like there was no end in sight, and when the market tanked so did her income and her lifestyle.
Repossessions and foreclosures ensued.
Tracey Walker was Once Again…. Broke
Tracey Walker ended up entering the network marketing and internet marketing fields, and hooking up with a mentor who got her started once again down the road to success. After awhile, she got burned out, as so many do, in the network marketing world where you have to sell and recruit to your family and friends, sell face to face, hold meetings and parties. This is what we call “the grind”, or grinding.
Tracey Walker made the acquaintance of Dave Wood and Dave Sharpe through earlier internet marketing and MLM systems, before Empower Network was formed. They informed her that they were starting a company for internet marketers to earn more commissions, and asked her to join as a founding member. She joined and the rest is pretty much history.
Today, Tracey Walker is making probably over $100,000 per month leading a huge organization that she developed.
Life is good if you are Tracey Walker inside of Empower Network. It’s so good, in fact, that she was able to have a new Maserati delivered.
She has even managed to get herself onto local news broadcasts with a segment on starting a home business. She has used these TV excerpts in online ads. I think this is the first time that I have seen an internet marketer bridge the gap between the internet and using TV as a medium to reach new prospects. If she keeps down this path, she’ll probably eclipse all of the top earners someday.
Now, as usual, there are some people out there knocking Tracey and every other high profile Empower Network star. They love to hate and to call names, claiming that these high rollers are only getting rich off the backs of the people who join but never make any money. All I can say to that is let the haters be haters but if you have been around network marketing or MLM, or any other business, you know that there are winners and there are losers. I guess that the social welfare mindset has invaded everywhere to the point that if you are successful they just assume that you stole it from others. It couldn’t be that you were successful or mastered your profession.
Oh no!
Or… maybe they have an ulterior motive?
So Why Am I Mentioning Tracey Walker?
Some people may wonder why would I mention Tracey Walker or any of the other Empower Network superstars on my blog? After all, why wouldn’t you search them out to join with them rather than lil ol me?
I know I know, popular logic dictates that most people want to join under the most successful people in any given organization, as if that will somehow guarantee their success.
Well, it won’t. I’m not knocking any of these people. After all, they’re my inspiration.
Let me tell it to you like it is and tell it to you straight. After all, I would want you to do the same for me.
As any leader gets bigger and bigger, what happens to their organizations?
They grow… exponentially.
These people make the shift from the grunt work and doing, getting their name out there, creating blogs, etc., to motivating their organizations to produce more. It’s like any company organization. If you join any traditional company and you are new to the career, does the CEO train you?
Of course not.
Now they are too big. They can’t handle one on ones with new members. They have junior people who are up and coming for that.
What does that mean for you?
It means that you have a better chance of catching polio in your big toe on a holiday than you do of being personally groomed by any of these über successful people.
It’s all true. I have listened to audio after audio of Dave Wood telling people that as they grow that they SHOULD NOT offer any hand holding to people because what happens when you do that to most people? They get lazy and expect everything handed to them. They become dependent, pathetic.
Tracey Walker has an assistant that handles a lot of her leg work. Why not? She’s successful.
So, it’s actually better to find a mentor who is in the trenches and up on the latest techniques to build up, because as a newbie you are in the process of building. No amount of inspirational speech listening by the gurus is going to do anything other than motivate you. If you want the secrets, the techniques, you need to learn from those climbing out of the trenches.
So, I’m really not worried. Those of you who know how this stuff works, or who finally realized it reading this, know that Tracey Walker and I offer the SAME opportunity and the SAME products and services, except that I am part of e growing blogging alliance who is on the front lines of Google algorithm changes and SEO evolution.
