In this post I’m speaking to the people are are sick of getting laid off and the emotional roller coaster that you have to be on whenever the company decides to cut costs. I’m here to affirm what you think. They don’t care about you, about your family, or about anything. Yes, you need to exit the job roller coaster now. YOU need to lay the groundwork for future success and stop being at the mercy of these people and these soulless companies.
Getting Laid Off Doesn’t Have to Hang Over Your Head
Doesn’t it suck to sit there hoping that the company doesn’t have layoffs? You probably don’t have to imagine this because so many people today have had the sad experience. I had that experience early on.
I can remember back to my second job out of college. The company was bought by a larger one and I had that first experience of having my job and my income pulled out from under me. It’s not only that. You make friendships at work and when the job is over most of those friendships are too. Thank God for FaceBook because I actually have some of those people in my friends list although I have only seen one of them since and that too was a long time ago.
I remember working at another fun job for 13 years. I started with that small enterprise software company in 1996. I survived layoffs, then the company gets bought by HP in 2004. I survive several downsizings and then finally in 2009 the CEO, who is on a job cutting and office closing spree, presides over our offices being closed. I got a severance package, but that was it. It was getting laid off all over again and I spent over a year unemployed thank you very much.
Getting laid off is a traumatic experience.
I’m trying to get through to those who have been through it or fear that it’s just a matter of time before it happens again. It will happen again. It can come through a variety of causes. I’m sure I don’t have all of them here but here’s a few good ones.
The company gets bought by a larger one and redundant staff needs to be cut or the entire staff needs to be liquidated.
The company goes out of business.
A publicly traded company has to cut staff to keep the Wall St. crowd happy because they aren’t profitable enough so cutting costs and “trimming the fat” is needed so the stock doesn’t get downgraded.
Let me say something about trimming the fat. It never seems to reach up to the company officers or the CEO, does it? When you get fired you are lucky if you get paid for your unused vacation time and even luckier if you get a severance package. The packages only come from large companies who are having large layoffs. The CEO types have their golden parachutes. They have deals that are negotiated up front and when their “contract” is terminated they get to leave with MILLIONS of dollars in cash and benefits. It’s criminal when you think about it. The end result is you and your coworkers are now getting laid off.
For these people, getting laid off is a boon!
Make getting laid off a boon for you too!
Stop taking it from this system. Years ago, when the world was a different place and governed less by greed… let’s talk about that greed for a sec. I don’t know if it was World War II when people from vast cross sections of society all served together in the Armed Forces or what, back when you knew your neighbors and we had a more homogeneous culture. (I’m talking America here) Back then you had a more fair work place arrangement. You didn’t have globalization and outsourcing. You didn’t have every company under the sun taking it’s cue from Wall St. investors but instead for the good of the company and its employees. This whole notion of short term profit no matter the consequences plays into this. Now you get this corporate mentality that people are not people but mere cogs that fit into a hole an they are now interchangeable parts. You have entire departments of people who are cross trained so that one can do the job of many when some inadvertently get laid off for some reason.
Are ya feelin what I’m dealin here?
So suffice to say that the days of working in one job and receiving a gold watch when you retire after decades of loyal service, and then getting a pension from that company, are over. Now you are left to fend for yourself with pathetically weak 401K and IRA plans that lose more money than they gain, and are at the mercy of the Wall St gamblers probably even more than your job is…
Listen up, working people. YOU have to get off your ass and figure something out because if you leave your destiny to these vultures then you are certifiably insane and THEN getting laid off is as much your fault as it is theirs.
Getting laid off is now a sorry fact of life, and you don’t know if there even will be another JOB down the pike. Many people are living in the place where they are becoming unemployable. This can be from being out of work for too long or being too old and then they face age discrimination, or for any reason that is not their fault but nevertheless they are at the mercy of.
How many times do you have to suffer through getting laid off to realize that you have to learn some new skills and instead of using them to get another job, become your own boss and shed those chains once and for all.
You can do it. I decided that there was something that I had to do and you may also be coming to that conclusion.
I invite you to enter the business that I am pursuing. Learn the skills of internet marketing and never gain have to worry about job interviews, kissing someone else’s ass, and holding your breath worrying about getting laid off.
The only person that you can rely on in this world is yourself.
Come in and look at the products that will teach you how to become an ace internet marketer, learn about the fabulous compensation plan for reselling these products even while you yourself are using them, and see proof that this is a worthwhile business with real upside potential to free you and allow you to fire your boss for good. I hope that I appealed to what worries you because I have worried myself sick over these same things far too many times to allow it to keep repeating over and over.

Let’s get started! Your bright future awaits! Getting laid off will finally be a distant memory more akin to a bad dream than a recurring nightmare.

P.S. – When you are ready to get a real marketing system that you can use to create great lead capture pages and email followup series, as well as store your contacts, then take a look at the Power Lead System, which is also a killer income stream to add to your business portfolio.
